CRAFT-IT4SD launches Learning Community on LinkedIn

We are pleased to announce the launch of the CRAFT-IT4SD Learning Community on LinkedIn, an online hub designed to support collaboration, knowledge exchange, and skills development across the craft, fashion, creative, and cultural and creative sectors. This new platform is part of the broader CRAFT-IT4SD project, an EU-funded initiative focused on promoting sustainability, innovation, and resilience within the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI).

The Learning Community is a central activity within Work Package 6 of the project, which is dedicated to the development of sustainable Learning Ecosystems and the promotion of lifelong learning. The aim is to build inclusive and flexible learning environments that empower individuals and communities, encourage cross-sector collaboration, and support the emergence of new, future-ready skills. Through this community, we seek to create an open, participatory space where members can share expertise, explore new ideas, and access valuable resources related to capacity building, micro-credentials, innovation-driven training, and educational methodologies tailored to the needs of the sector.

Content shared in the Learning Community will focus on a number of key thematic areas. These include innovative business models that support sustainable and circular approaches in the craft and fashion industries; the concept of the wardrobe for sustainability, which encourages more conscious and responsible fashion; the empowerment of consumers and communities through participatory design and knowledge sharing; and the integration of emerging technologies into traditional craft practices, exploring how digital tools can enhance creativity and expand access to markets and education.

The community will regularly publish original articles, practical insights, and curated materials designed to inform, inspire, and foster constructive discussion. It is intended to serve as a vibrant knowledge hub that connects professionals and learners from across disciplines and geographies, encouraging mutual learning and experimentation. By strengthening these connections, the Learning Community will play a key role in supporting the project’s wider objective of building collaborative ecosystems that can respond dynamically to the evolving challenges and opportunities of the cultural and creative sectors.

To learn more about the foundations and objectives of this initiative, we invite you to read our intermediate report, Deliverable D6.1, which outlines the methodologies, achievements, and action plans guiding the development of the Learning Ecosystems. The report is available on our website at: https://craft-it4sd.eu/results/

We encourage you to follow the CRAFT-IT4SD LinkedIn page, take part in ongoing discussions, and contribute to shaping an inclusive, sustainable, and innovation-driven future for the craft and fashion industries. Your participation will help build a stronger, more connected community of practice that supports both individual growth and collective progress across the sector.
